EVERTON EYEING LOAN MOVE FOR BARKLEY

Merseyside club Everton are reportedly keen to sign one of their former players on loan ahead of the transfer window which resumes in a matter of hours. England international Ross Barkley is a former Everton midfielder who’s attracting interest from the Toffees. The Toffees interest in the Chelsea star was revealed by The Telegraph as it was claimed that they are keeping tabs on the midfielder.

Everton target Barkley has been sparingly used at Chelsea this season especially in the Premier League. He has been restricted to just one Premier League start this season and that was the home game with Burnley at the end of October. Barkley started the Burnley game which ended in a 1-1 draw after Czech substituteMatejVydracame off the bench to rescue a point for Burnley. Striker Vydra scored from close range to rescue a share of the spoils for the Clarets after Chelsea took a first half lead through German player Kai Havertz.

EVERTON POOR FORM CONTINUES AGAINST LIVERPOOL

Everton are on a poor run in the Premier League and it is showing no signs of coming to an end especially after their 4-1 defeat to Liverpool when the two teams met in a Merseyside Derby clash on the Premier League scene. Everton came into the game with a run of one draw and four losses in their last five league outings and the run was stretched to one point and five defeats in the last six league games with the defeat to Liverpool. As a matter of fact, Everton are now winless in their last seven league games since the 2-0 home win over Norwich City in September thanks to the goals from Andros Townsend (penalty) and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Ahead of their latest Merseyside Derby duel with Liverpool, Everton had a three-game unbeaten run but they could not extend it to four games as they were well beaten with two goals in each half from their visitors.

AS Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana has emerged as atarget for Merseyside giants Everton ahead of the winter transfer window. According to the report from the Liverpool Echo, the midfield department is an area of concern for the Toffees especially in the absence of Doucoure and Everton are ready to bolster their squad in that area.

22-year-old Fofana is valued at around £13m and the transfer fee is not expected to be a problem for Everton. They have already freed up some funds with the summer exits of big earners like James Rodriguez and Bernard.

EVERTON HANDED MAJOR INJURY BOOST

Merseyside giants Everton have been handed a major boost on the injury front following the news thattheir Brazilian attacker, Richarlison is back in training and in contention to face Watford in the Premier League this weekend.

Everton manager Rafael Benitez has held his press conference for the Watford game at the Goodison Park on Saturday and he confirmed that Richardson is on course to make his return from injury after a little over one month. The Toffess have been without the Brazilian international since he sustained a knee injury during the league game at home to Burnley last month. Richarlison picked up the injury from a poor challenge on the part of Burnleydefender James Tarkowski and it overshadowed the game which saw the Toffess claim a 3-1 comeback victory with all the four goals coming in the second half. English centre back Ben Mee was responsible for the opener in the colours of the Clarets before Everton turned the game on its head in style with three goals in six minutes. EVERTON TRIO OUT OF NORWICH GAME

The Everton trio of Richarlison, Seamus Coleman and Jordan Pickford will miss the Premier League clash with Norwich City after they picked up respective injuries last week. It was revealed by the official Twitter handle of Everton that the three players might miss two or three weeks of football action.


The aforementioned Everton trio were absent from the squad which lost 3-0 at Aston Villa last weekend thereby suffering a first defeat of the season. Everton striker Moise Kean has agreed personal terms with Italian Serie A giants Juventus ahead of a potential move this summer. The Italian giants are working on a deal to sign the young attacker from Everton before the transfer window closes next week Tuesday. The news of the personal terms agreement between Kean and PSG was revealed by Italian publication Calciomercato.

 

Mino Raiola is one of the most popular agents in football and he’s the representative of Everton attacker Moise Kean. Raiola is in talks with Juventus over the transfer of the player back to the Italian Serie A and it looks like a deal would be agreed before the end of the transfer market next week. BENITEZ, FRONTRUNNER FOR EVERTON JOB

Merseyside giants Everton have been on the search for a new manager for several weeks after Carlo Ancelotti walked out on the club to return to Real Madrid for a second spell last month. Ancelotti had been the Everton manager for the better part of the last two seasons before he left to sign a three-year deal as the new Real Madrid manager.

Italian tactician Ancelotti was the Real Madrid boss for a period of two years between 2013 and 2015 before he was sacked and replaced by his then asssistant, Zinedine Zidane. Ironically, Ancelotti has replaced French football legend Zidane after he resigned from the job shortly after the end of the season last month. While he was the Madrid manager, Ancelotti won the elusive La Decima title for the club via the 4-1 win over city rivals Atletico Madrid at the end of extra time in the 2014 Champions League final. Real Madrid had waited 12 years for the La Decima.
