Coutinho has not lived up to expectations since moving to Barcelona from Liverpool in January 2018. The Reds sanctioned his transfer to Barcelona for a fee of around £140m thus making him one of the most expensive players in world football. The Brazilian national team player is the third most expensive player in the world of football behind the Paris Saint Germain (PSG) duo of KylianMbappe and Neymar.

Coutinho spent the whole of last season on loan at German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. He played his part in the treble won by the Bavarian giants last season but that was not enough for his loan deal to be made permanent. Coutinho returned toBarcelona last summer at the end of his loan spell at the Allianz Arena.

Coutinho started this season in the Barcelona XI under new manager Ronald Koeman before he lost his place to young midfielder Pedri. The former Inter Milan playmaker has been missing in action for Barcelona for several months due to a knee problem.

The above report said that the Toffees have agreed a £35m fee for Coutinho and that the Brazilian player would move to Everton in the summer if the recovery from his knee injury goes as expected.

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is expected to receive a significant amount for transfers this summer as the Merseyside giants try to establish themselves as a regular team in the Champions League. For now, they are still far from reaching that target.
