Frank Lampard has urged Everton fans not to go against the players following the poor set of results. After struggling in the matches just before the World Cup, Everton came back to more troubles after losing at the hands of Wolves in a dramatic late setback. The Midlands outfit had a new manager in the dugout with Julen Lopetegui and he was able to start his Wolves record with a victory. The 2-1 success for the Midlands outfit at Goodison Park has further raised the pressure on Lampard, who has only picked up a handful of victories since taking over as the Everton manager more than 12 months ago.

At half-time, Everton were booed by the supporters inside the ground. After the game, Lampard has said that these boos do little to help the club in terms of their confidence levels. The Toffees will have to fend off interest from Leeds who are also looking for a striker and do not have the same financial constraints as the Merseyside outfit.

However, he may play second fiddle to Patrick Bamford or Rodrigo there, and is not guaranteed a regular spot in the starting eleven like he would at Goodison Park. Hopefully, the Toffees can conjure up the remaining money or then get Blackburn to bring down his price as he’s certainly going to be a valuable addition the first team. If not Diaz, Everton appear to be hot the heels of Southampton forward Che Adams as well but signing him from the south coast team is going to be a tad complicated and they must only keep him as a last resort.

Everton have lacked some serious firepower upfront and their manager Frank Lampard needs to address the situation pretty quickly if he wants to turn the situation of the club around this season.

The Ghana international has 5 goals for the Black Stars in just 16 caps, and has been frustrated by the lack of playing opportunities afforded to him at the Dutch side where he is yet to become a regular starter. He featured in 25 games for Ajax last season, but made the most impact in 16 games where he lined up as a CAM scoring 8 times with 1 assist.

Kudus had missed a big chunk of his debut season in the Eredivisie (joining from Nordsjaelland in Denmark) with a knee injury, and has struggled to get game time since. However, when he has been on the pitch, his electric pace and dribbling have certainly been on show in breaking the press.

Kean left Everton to join PSG on a season-long loan some weeks ago. A PSG official has already talked up the possibility of signing the young striker permanently at the end of his loan spell, with the Italian international has scored five goals in seven PSG games in all competitions.

PSG sporting director Leonardo has been impressed with the performances of Moise Kean since he joined the Champions League finalists at the start of the season and the ex-AC Milan player confirmed that the club wants to sign him permanently – something that you would never have predicted back in January 2020, when mybettingsite.uk had him at short odds to be returning to old club Juventus after struggling to make any kind of impact at Everton.

Leonardo also spoke about Cristiano Ronaldo and the PSG transfer rumours surrounding him. Moise Kean and Cristiano Ronaldo were at Juventus together before the latter left Turin for Everton in a €30m deal. He struggled for form at Everton in his first season and it was not surprising when the Toffees opted to loan him to PSG this season. He could link up with Ronaldo once again if PSG manage to pull off a transfer for the former Sporting Lisbon and Manchester United player.

On Ronaldo, PSG official Leonardo believes that his club represents one of the few teams that could afford to sign him if he leaves Juventus.

Jagielka has not been featuring very often in the Everton team this season. The 36-year-old is towards the tail-end of his career and he has only featured in five games in the league this season. There have been just three starts for Jagielka prior to the appearance against Fulham. This is in comparison with the 2017-18 campaign when Jagielka featured in a respectable 23 starts. The lack of game time appeared to show, as Jagielka was constantly bullied by Fulham’s attackers, who eventually got the better in the second half with two goals. Jagielka’s performance received a lot of criticism on social media but the manager was quick to defend the veteran centre back.

“It’s easy to look just at one player.If you want to say that we lost because of Jagielka, you are completely wrong. It was not. The team didn’t perform, and if you want to look for just one player it’s a big mistake,” said Jagielka. It is widely expected that Jagielka will be leaving Everton at the end of the campaign. His contract only has a few months to run and Everton are unlikely to renew the deal based on his recent performance.

After a goalless first half, the hosts were able to get goals from Tom Cairney and Ryan Babel in the second half. It should be noted that Fulham have already been relegated from the Premier League and they are only playing for pride in the remainder of the campaign. Silva admitted after the match that Everton did not do enough in order to get three points at Craven Cottage. “Now he is coming back. He is a different player than the other wingers. The goal was important to him. “One of the things we spoke about was that Lookman and Bernard have to score more. I told him some things I want in his game: to define moments when we have to put speed in our attack. He can see many things in our attack other players cannot see. I am sure he will improve more and more.”

Lookman had spent the second half of the previous campaign on loan with RB Leipzig where he impressed with five goals and three assists in the Bundesliga. As such, it appeared that the Bundesliga outfit could prise him away on a permanent basis during the summer but the Toffees remained firm on their not-for-sale stance on the forward.

Since then, Lookman has not managed a regular starting role but he could do so during the backend of the campaign after showing glimpses of his old self during the recent Cup game. Lookman has managed 11 appearances in the Premier League this term but only one of those has resulted from the starting lineup.

Amidst this, he has already become a regular with the Brazilian national team and speaking to the club’s official website, Yakubu has backed the young marksman to reach to the top, the loved Nigerian said: “Richarlison is smart and clever. I have watched him since he was at Watford. If he continues to do what he is doing, you will see the improvement. He is going to be a top striker. I think he can be right up there in the goal scoring charts.”

Richarlison first made his Premier League bow with the Hornets last term after making the switch from Fluminense and contributed five goals within the opening few months. However, he could not sustain the form thereafter and he ended the backend of the campaign without adding an assist or a goal.

As such, his £35m move to Everton had raised question marks whether he could show the consistency but that has certainly been the case this season with eight goals already in the Premier League. Meanwhile, he has also made a strong impression with the Brazilian national side since making his debut in September and he has already notched three goals from six appearances including the recent winner during the friendly triumph over Cameroon.

Over the past few months, Richarlison has regularly been played upfront by manager Marco Silva and he could continue to do so when the Toffees entertain Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this weekend. The Brazilian has netted two times during the previous three league matches for the Toffees.

Speaking to TalkSPORT, he said: “Everybody’s seen the drop off since Mario Silva (sic) left Watford, or maybe even before then. I think that he has seen him first-hand and worked with him on a daily basis so he is backing his own judgement. What I would say to be careful about though is, if you say you are buying potential, Everton fans do not want potential. If you’re buying Richarlison now as a future player, that’s not what Everton fans want to see at the moment. They want to see them fighting with the best and up there with the top four.”

Richarlison had attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur prior to making the move to Watford last summer and he made a strong start to the campaign under Silva with five goals before the turn of the year. However, his form dipped thereafter and part of the blame has been put on the Hornets’ decision to dismiss Silva from the head coach role.

Now at Everton, Silva has decided to sanction a deal worth £44m to reunite with Richarlison at Goodison Park and the move should be made official in the coming days with the Brazilian having made his way to Merseyside for the medical. The Toffees have remained relatively quiet with no signings to date but they are expected to go on a late spending spree starting from Richarlison to bolster their top-six prospects next season.

Speaking ahead of the final game against West Ham, Allardyce insisted that he has not had a negative influence on the Toffees and highlighted that the January signings of Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun have made a difference towards the club’s campaign, he said: “We recruited two players who have been very influential in January, one that’s scored goals and one that’s both made and scored goals.

“If you look back on that saying that I’m negative and play a certain style of football, well those two players have made a massive difference since they arrived. They’re one of the elements why we’ve achieved so much since January, because they’ve added to what was already here, and the players who were already here have looked at them and made them evolve more, play better and achieve more results.”

Allardyce’s current contract is due to expire at the end of the current season and the experienced head coach is likely to know the outcome of his future following the final game of the campaign. The Toffees cannot finish any better than eighth in the Premier League season and they will be hoping to end the season on a high with an away triumph over the Hammers. The Merseyside outfit are currently on a five-match unbeaten run in the Premier League and this includes two victories and three stalemates – one of which came in a 0-0 draw against arch-rivals Liverpool.
